Database is a collection of information that is organized so that information can be easily accessed, managed, and updated. Able to

In the database, we can quickly (faster) and easily select the desired data.

The traditional database is organized by three things.

2. records

3. files

A field is a single piece of information. A record is a complete set of fields, and the file that happens is the collection of record.

for Example, a dictionary is similar to a database. Which is like a file, which contains fields in the list of records.

Example of Database / DBMS

Well, there are so many DBMS Software, some of them

1. Dbase

Dbase was the first of all the DBMS that was made. It was used in microcomputers. This software was the most successful DBMS in its time. All of these Components live in DBASE, such as Database Engine, query system, a foOrms engine, and a programming language is used to run the three. The extension of this file remains .dbf.

The company named Ashton-Tate had published Dbase in 1980, this DBMS was used to run in the microcomputer operating system. It is later used by Apple- || And also started to be on the IBM PC, both used to go to dos operating system. Dbase was also awarded Best Selling Software of the Year for many years. When Dbase- ||| If released, then it started running in UNIX and VMS too.

2. FoxPro

Here, along with a text-based procedurally oriented programming language, it is also the Database Management System. This is an Object Oriented Programming Language. For the first time, Fox Software had published it. But Microsoft developed FoxPro to run in the ongoing MS-DOS, Windows and Unix versions. Now its name is Visual FoxPro, but after a few years, its production was discontinued in 2007.

3. IMS

To store data in the IMS database, the hierarchical model is followed. Which is quite different from DB2 and Relational Model. Generally, this DBMS is used for information management.

4. Oracle

Oracle is also called Oracle RDBMS. This is an object-relational database management system. In today’s time, it is used very much, the name of this software company is Oracle Corporation. Larry Ellison and his two friends were the Co-founders of this corporation.

5. MySql

This is an object-relational database management system. Its name was named after the daughter of its CO-Founder Michael Widenius and the SQL Mean Structured Query Language The name of this DBMS Software Company is MySQL AB, which was formed in 1995. Now its owner is Oracle Corporation.

6. DB2

This is the product of a database. It means RDBMS is the Relational Database Management System. DB2 is used to store data, analyze and retrieve data in the database. db2 is also following the concept of Object Oriented.

Database Operations

All of the above operations are given above of the database. One understands them in detail.

1. Insert

If you store some data, then they call Insert Operation. As there is a Student Database, you do Data Insert, Roll, Mark, City.

2. Delete

Delete DATA or a record from the database, then this operation is called Delete Operation. You can also use some Programming Language to delete.

3. Update

If the information or data is already counted and you are making changes, then it is called Update. I will still take the same example if a student’s family has shifted to another place, then you have to change the database from address. This is called update.

4. Search / Access

Finding the same information or finding a Group of Information is called Search or Access Operation. Seeing a Result like Balance Inquiry, Train Ticket Available or Not Watching All this is a Search Operation.
